A report dated 13/10/10 on the BBC website revals a ‘big rise in the number of new UK start up companies‘ in 2010. The report has been published by Yoodoo, a new online advice and training resource for those considering starting a new business. The Yoodoo report claims a 51% rise in start ups in 2010 compared to the first six months of 2008, a figure based on analysis of companies house data.
This is certainly supported by the ongoing data collected by the Startupsplus service from Selectabase. Back in July 2010 Selectabase released figures showing that new business start ups increased by 19% compared to the first half of 2009.
