Data Opt-Out Request
There are many benefits in receiving relevant direct marketing offers. However, we recognise that there are occasions where individuals or businesses would like to unsubscribe, or ‘opt-out’ of direct marketing.
If you wish to minimise the amount of marketing communication you receive from all organisations, there are several industry opt-out lists which you can subscribe to, depending on the communication channel:
Postal Marketing – You can opt out of postal marketing by registering with the Mailing Preference Service (MPS) at http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/. This is an industry-wide service administered by the Direct Marketing Association and recognised by the Information Commissioner.
There is a version of the MPS called the Baby Mailing Preference Service which can help reduce the number of baby-related mailings you receive. You can register at https://www.mpsonline.org.uk/bmps/
Telephone Marketing (B2C / Individuals / Sole Traders) – You can opt out of domestic telemarketing activity by registering your details within the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) at https://www.tpsonline.org.uk/
Telephone Marketing (B2B / Companies / Corporates) – You can opt out of corporate telemarketing activity by registering your details within the Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CTPS) at http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/whatiscorporatetps.html
Opt-Out only from our marketing list suppliers
You may wish to request suppression directly with our marketing data list suppliers. Selectabase respect the key transparency requirements under GDPR, and have therefore provided direct links to our suppliers, who each have their own suppression procedures.

Opt-Out only from the marketing lists Selectabase provide to its’ clients.
When we’re asked to prevent your personal data from being used for direct marketing, your details are added to the Selectabase marketing suppression file. Data being used for the purpose of direct marketing will be screened against our file, ensuring your details are never passed on to any of our clients.
We must continue to process your personal data on a suppression file, retaining only the minimum information needed to identify you, to ensure your wishes are respected and maintained: this enables us to prevent further processing should your personal data come into Selectabase from a different source.
You will not be contacted if you would prefer not to be and your personal data will never be used in a way that you object to, either by Selectabase or by our clients. If you opt out, this doesn’t stop other organisations from collecting your data.
Our policy is to suppress your personal details within 30 days of such a request.
Records that exactly match the details you provide will be suppressed.
