Direct Marketing Tip – Identify Your Resources

When planning your direct marketing campaign, make sure you identify all the resources you will need to make it happen.

For example, do you need extra resources to carry out the campaign or cope with the responses it should generate? Typical examples might include envelopes, stationery and so on. If you’re franking your own mail, do you have enough postage credit available?

Will you need more staff to handle the anticipated responses? If you are contracting out your fulfilment, does your supplier have capacity?

Do you have enough products available to meet demand? This is especially true if you are running a sales promotion or a sampling offer.
